We believe that God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that He is a being of unimaginably wonderful power, goodness, and love. God as Father reigns with providential care over his universe, his creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to his purposes of grace. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, full of love and wisdom. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in his attitude toward all men. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life, and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to the glory of Heaven and will return to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He enables us to live for Christ, gives us different spiritual gifts and guides us in the truth.
We believe that this world also has pain and suffering because human beings have fallen and sinned, and are alienated from God, from others, from ourselves, and from creation. We believe that sin has broken all things leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.
We believe that salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin through self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from the penalty of sin. When we turn away from our life of self-government, confess Him as our Savior and Lord, and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
